Whenever I have
the possibility, I escape from
the civilization and into the wild.
The nature gives
me an indescribable good feeling and “lift me up where I belong”...
I will share some of my impressions from the forest here, through my photos!
I will share some of my impressions from the forest here, through my photos!
The photos are
taken both in Norway and South Africa.
I’ve added quotes
which reveal
some of the feelings I get in the woods.
I hope that
you’ll find some
inspiration here!
Enjoy!
“Come to the woods, for here is rest. There
is no repose like that of the green deep woods. Here grow the wallflower and
the violet. The squirrel will come and sit upon your knee, the lagcock will
wake you in the morning. Sleep in forgetfulness of all ill. Of all the upness
accessible to mortals, there is no upness comparable to the mountains.”
- John Muir -
“Keep close to Nature’s heart... and break
clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods.
Wash your spirit clean. None of Nature’s landscapes are ugly so long as they
are wild.”
– John Muir -
“You will find something more in woods than
in books. Trees and stones will teach you that which you can never learn from
masters.”
– Saint Bernard -
“Our land is more valuable than your money. As long as the sun shines and the waters flow, this land will be here to give life to men and animals; therefore, we cannot sell this land. It was put here for us by the Great Spirit and we cannot sell it because it does not belong to us.”
- Blackfoot chief -
“When we contemplate the whole globe as one
great dewdrop, striped and dotted with continents and islands, flying through
space with other stars all singing and shining together as one, the whole
universe appears as an infinite storm of beauty.”
– John Muir -
